Yesterday, Helena Antónia, our founder and CEO, facilitated the first september IRIS Social Organization meet up, a platform to support impact entrepreneurship based in the north of Portugal, presenting a vision on the contribution of small businesses to sustainable development.
It was a very interesting exchange between professionals and citizens with different backgrounds.
This led to more questions than answers, with one certainty: small businesses are the largest percentage of companies in Portugal, Europe and the US, which is why the onus of making a transition to sustainability falls on them. It is also these small businesses that create local value and make communities more resilient. They have great agility in adapting to new challenges, demand and consumption models, and the fact that they are small does not impede their growth process.
Thank you to all that attended to this meet-up.
How small is the value created by small business? Together we can make a positive impact in the world.
Start small. Act local, impact globally.
